#DEMYSTIFYINGENTREPRENEURSHIP 21: THE CRAZY WOMAN

My madness leads me to the office. "Greetings sir". There is such joy until I start to talk about our plight:
" I am shocked people I respect and hold in high regard such as you doctors would be part of such deplorable acts as not answering calls and emails after food consumption".

I would see him adjust his seat and self. Quite shocked, the said Esther who was calm had turned to be quite the opposite :D. This was my chance to defend the entire youth race. I had turned a revolutionist suddenly. Hayo mambo ya catering were forgotten.

Thinking of the many young people whose introduction to life was this. Of people hiding in holes when workers were seeking pay. I was becoming increasingly aware of the sacrifice people went through to get any pay. Walking home after service, for some luck but went back home empty, no rent. This was personal. As revolutionists say, an injustice to one of us is an injustice to all of us.

That one had the opportunity to make it a little lighter was doing the opposite. Thought it sad to be in a position of power to enhance the life of another and didn’t. Working with communities, I would be increasingly be more aware of the journeys taken towards making a living.

Granted we were paid the very next day after noisemaking. Only, naturally no body wanted to deal with me, as I was then the crazy woman who stomped in to the office full of words of wisdom. He he he. After that, my team was officially done, we’d spent months screaming at selves.

Again, another defining moment. First, I was far off, why we started. The events company had turned to running all around town with food and lesos all over. Also, far from being a government spokesman or any vision.

It was when my brother said to me: “If you dedicate your entire life to something you don’t feel passionately about, when you look back, you will be disappointed.”. For the first time, I wasn’t shouting. Perhaps, it was time to take a step back.

What did I learn?
1.       Would you take some emotional intelligence sessions?
2.       If you are not going to do it well, don’t do it!
3.       Have a plan? Focus.
4.       No body owes you anything!
