DEMYSTIFYING FEAR
Esther Neema:- Founder Dream Tribe |
There was a time, I was terrified to make official calls. And I remember in my first job, on the first day, I was given a list of calls to make. In an open office space, everyone can see you, and hear you stammer, you feel like you could just fall. Fear had already started to creep in, and the world looked so huge before my eyes eh, but it was only a matter of time before I could step on it. For everything I ever wished for was on the other side of it.
On the other side of fear are great possibilities. For many of us, our fears have stopped us from everything beautiful and we stood there in a paralysis imagining satanis waiting for us to start, and all hell breaks loose once we move. Afraid to even try. So we get stuck on the known, and the daily existence of just soaking in life as it is, wondering what life can possibly be.
Sometimes afraid of even our fellow humans, who truly had nothing on us. And in the end, we have compromised not only our life but also our possibilities. My greatest finding, is that fear is a construction of the mind. We were never born afraid, fear is something we teach ourselves. And like everything we have learned, this too can be unlearned.
As they say, “Aerodamically the bumble bee should not fly, but the bumble doesn’t know it, so it flys anyway.” So the limitations we have are nothing if we don’t give them power. But the strive to constantly be better gives us the confidence that we deserve to be here.
I have learned over years to take each step. Make the move, reach out, make the call. “Have I not commanded you to be courageous.” And if someone ignores you, mistreats you for trying, never let the bad behavior of anybody, cause you to imagine the whole world is as such. The world is full of wonderful people with open doors keep knocking. #Start-Up
It has been worth taking the trip of courage to overcome each fear, for the world that has opened up for me has been bigger than I ever imagined.
