#DEMYSTIFYINGeNTREPRENEURSHIP #17
So,
we have a deal. Me and my partner now on mission catering. It makes such a
difference when you have a partner in first times. At that moment you Unalone..
Anyhow,
we get up at 4:00 in the am. Dressed in white and black. He he he,
like in the movies. Yusuf is at house by 6:00. First, slept at midnight on a
mission to impress em,
baking cakes, wiping our stuff, arranging .
And
now couldn’t even sleep too well thinking about the day. Our hearts beating,
can we really do this? But there is a first time to everything. So we start to
prepare and before we know it, we are done, we have everything. Carrying
amazing breakfast in our car. Rushing to be on time. And the voila, we reach
destination, and our hearts are settled
for a minute. Laying the table and decorating the space, so that it looks
amazing. It really feels great. We start to wonder why haven’t we done this all
our life.
Everybody
comes out and they have this breakfast, they are smiling. Meanwhile, we are
watching them as they sip every cup and take up everything. When the plate were
empty, we are too happy. And the she finally said it “That was good. “Weh, I
had my first Hallelujah moment .
So
now, we had to wait for lunch. Sitting around the compound, and walking up and
about, really reflecting on how this was so much fun. WE LOVED IT. Though it
was too soon to speak, we had to wait for lunch. It meant we were coordinating
from here, to the team at home. That is where Paranoia checks in. You are not
at home to put peer pressure on others to rush the process. You are out here in
the middle of nowhere, miles from home, in the forest waiting for food to
arrive. It is now 12:30 Guys are still at home. You imagine they are
gallivanting aimlessly, but cant do nothing about it.
It is
when you learn the art of surrender, to keep calm. You cannot be shouting on
one end of the phone to people who were doing their stuff back home. So we went on telling stories. When it hits
12:45, we start o have butterflies and now on panic mode. Walking to and fro
checking at the corner. Is the food coming? Have the members been hijacked with
the food? Why are they not picking their phones? Have those people even packed the spoons and
knives? Are they carrying anything at all? All this is running in our minds,
but we are still trying to look calm, lest everybody panics.
At
exactly 1:00, we see a car arrive. We peep. It was not the one. Now butterflies
are jumping and our eyes are red. Maybe the food is not coming? And then it FINALLY arrives. We have never
been more happy to see food. We want to jump and hug the team. We start to set up everything, and just when
we are done people get out for lunch, they find us smiling J . In the evening we got money in our
pockets and praises of how wonderful we
are. WE MADE IT!!!. It is such a refreshing feeling. We clap for selves and not
long later, they refer us to the our second. And we kept doing it and doing and
doing it. I learned opportunities present themselves often and you just take
them. There is many things we can apply ourselves to do, and would be surprised
how amazing those things are.
And
as they say, missing an opportunity is like a monkey missing a branch. This one
we had found something that would redeem
us. And very impressed by how much we could make J
