HOW TO DETERMINE CUSTOMER NEED (NEED ASSESSMENT)

Nicole Mumbi and Esther Neema at the Launch of Belle Enterprise Events
So now, I have Belle Enterprise Themed Events. Launched it in a colorful white party. Feeling over confident over this brilliance to create fun themed event.

My first event was, Dance your mate. Weh, first of all that name?! Sigh. I imagine couples will be dancing first thing at midnight.

Walked to quins, and said, yo, I will be bringing 30 couples for valentines, and they will be buying drinks from you but will provide food. Barter. Turns out, barter is BAE before you can afford extra costs. They agree. I design my posters by self and we are on.

Again, I call everybody. Excited. I go all over social media, and there is such hype to deliver in two weeks. I am doing all this alone, until June joined me . Bless her. She brought life. She brought a chef, and became the chief marketer.

Now on the day, we are extremely nervous. We had like about 10 couples. Yet we had prepared food for 60 people. I start to panic. So I call Dennis to bring me population, since he knows the whole world. I call my friends and my family. In not long we had a full house. Perhaps an over house.

With my mum as the food deliverer, my brother with his clan trying to be the fun people. My friends and their friends as guests.
And for a minute, sat there thinking what a success. Only at midnight, everybody was sited. I realized we had bored people, sort of. But even still there I sat there in joy, we had done it eh.

Two things that from this. You don't do business business for yourself, you do it for the customer. That, it is important that you check what the customers needs are, not yours. It was their part, not your party.

Get need assessment. Santa had tried to tell me in many words, that I should put better music, and here I was putting music that was at the border line of poetry and recital in my attempt to bring romance.

It was when the day was over, and finally I accepted, had I listened. For once my event was over, and the music changed, everyone got up. Many lesson. From this day on, I learned to listen to people.

Listen to people.
